International Expansion

Today, sports are truly global.  The NFL is playing regular season games in London.  The NBA has 83 International players from 36 countries.  The US is a frontrunner to bring the World Cup to American soil in 2018.  The cultural differences are shown through the varying league structures, by the contrasting styles of play in each country and by how fans consume sports.  To address these challenges, teams, leagues and sponsors are approaching International Expansion in a multitude of ways while managing many local needs.  This panel will explore how future growth is evaluated, how leagues/teams are introducing their sports in new regions and how player evaluation/opportunities abroad are shaping the future of sports.
