JJ Redick

15 year NBA Veteran and Co-founder of ThreeFourTwo Productions

About

JJ Redick is an NBA veteran, ESPN analyst, podcast host and co-founder of ThreeFourTwo Productions. After 15 seasons in the NBA, JJ Redick announced his retirement from the league on September 21, 2021. Redick the former No. 11 pick of the 2006 Draft, played for six teams in his NBA career and spent last season with the New Orleans Pelicans and Dallas Mavericks.  He averaged 12.8 points in 940 regular-season games and his 1,950 career makes from 3-point range rank him 15th in NBA history in that category.  In 2006, JJ was selected 11th overall in the NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic. JJ spent the first seven seasons of his career in Orlando followed by stints with the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Clippers, and Philadelphia 76ers. In 2019, Redick signed a two-year deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, and in March 2021 joined the Dallas Mavericks. JJ famously played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils where he still remains their all-time leading scorer. He also set several other Duke records, including most points in a single season. Redick’s jersey was retired by Duke on February 4, 2007, making him just the 13th Duke player to have his jersey retired. In February of 2016, JJ took his talent off court when he launched his first podcast and in 2017 that same podcast moved to The Ringer. In 2020, after completing 100 episodes, JJ and his co-host Tommy Alter started a production company, ThreeFourTwo Productions (the name being an ode to the 342 shots JJ routinely makes every Sunday during the NBA offseason), where they launched their next podcast “The Old Man and The Three.” After just 6 weeks the podcast acquired over 100K subscribers on YouTube and continues to grow at a rapid pace.  “The Old Man and The Three” brings fans and listeners behind-the-scenes and inside the world of the NBA, offering unprecedented access to the league and a backstage pass to the new season. Each week, Redick and Alter discuss all things NBA, current events, and talk to biggest names from the worlds of basketball, entertainment, politics and beyond.  JJ currently lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife Chelsea and their two sons Knox and Kai.
