Chad Millman is co-founder of The Action Network, which he launched with The Chernin Group in 2018 and helped grow into the country’s largest sports betting media business, leading to its sale for $240M in 2021. Bloomberg Businessweekwrote that, “Few journalists embody the gambling industry’s capture of sports media quite like Chad Millman.” He is also the co-host of The Favorites, Apple’s top-ranked sports betting podcast, which drives millions of downloads/views each NFL season. Prior to Action, Millman was ESPN Digital’s Editorial Director and editor-in-chief of ESPN The Magazine and espn.com. At ESPN he created the sports betting beat and made regular appearances across SportsCenter, E60 and other programs, wrote weekly columns and hosted a weekly podcast, Behind The Bets. He has also written seven books, including four bestsellers, ranging from the autobiography of Howard Stern producer Baba Booey to The Odds, about the lives of Vegas bookmakers and bettors. His latest book, The Number: Chasing the Biggest Edge in Sports, will be published by Penguin Press in August of 2027.
