Senior Associate Athletic Director, External Relations, Stanford University @KevinABlue Dr. Kevin Blue is the Senior Associate Athletics Director, External Relations at Stanford University. In his role, Kevin oversees the external business functions for Stanford Athletics, including ticket sales, ticket operations, business strategy, marketing, communications, video, fan experience, and Stanford's relationships with Learfield Sports and Pac-12 Networks. He also serves as a sport administrator with oversight of the school's wrestling program. Stanford Athletics has recently experienced strong revenue growth. Analytical approaches to ticket pricing and sales operations have helped leverage strong team performance, and marketing and communications strategies have been cohesively organized around a set of key messages that effectively portray Stanford's distinctive scholar-athlete brand. In addition to his work in intercollegiate athletics, Kevin is a committed educator. He holds an adjunct faculty position teaching Strategic Management at the University of San Francisco in its sport management program and will teach Sports Psychology at Stanford in the Spring Quarter of 2015. Kevin received his B. A. in Psychology from Stanford in 2005 and attended the Summer Institute for General Management at the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2008. He received a Ph. D. in the Psychosocial Aspects of Sport from Michigan State University in 2009. Kevin was the captain of Stanford's men's golf team as an undergraduate, and coached professional and elite amateur golfers while attending graduate school. He is a recreational triathlete and distance runner, and completed an Ironman distance event in 2011. Kevin is originally from Toronto, Canada.
