Soccer, the sport with the highest point value in the world, has a fundamental problem when it comes to analyzing it: there are many frequent events and very few that are relevant. In this talk, Javier Fernandez, Head of Sports Analytics for FC Barcelona, will go through his experience at FC Barcelona engaging in meaningful conversations with coaches through the use of powerful visuals. We will discuss how can we leverage modern soccer analytics for spotting the patterns that matter.
