SVP of Strategy & Development, Chicago Cubs
Alexander Sugarman is the Senior Vice President of Strategy & Ballpark Operations for the Chicago Cubs. Alex is entering his seventh season with the organization. He is responsible for developing and managing the overall strategic roadmap for the company and leads many of the value growth opportunities for the organization, including broadcast rights, financing of the Wrigley Field restoration, real estate development, and general corporate development. In addition, Alex oversees all ballpark operations for the organization, which includes event operations, facility management and security & safety operations. Prior to joining the Chicago Cubs, Alex worked at Galatioto Sports Partners, a specialized sports investment bank that provides advisory services and capital to the sports industry, and the National Hockey League. Alex has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Emory University.
