Vice President - Properties & Brand Strategy, CSM Sport & Entertainment
Brian Millman is the Vice President - Properties & Brand Strategy and Head of Gaming and Esports in North America at CSM Sports and Entertainment - a global integrated marketing and brand experiences agency, headquartered in London. In this capacity, Millman and other senior leaders are growing the Gaming and Esports division in North America within CSM representing the commercial aspirations of properties and representing brands through strategy development + procurement of partnerships for brands as they optimize or enter the ecosystem.
In his career, Millman has negotiated over $175 million worth of partnerships on behalf of brands or properties, was recognized as a “Top Advertising Executive in Gaming and Esports” by Business Insider when he was Director - Global Partnerships at Evil Geniuses (EG).
At EG, Millman led a team that drove revenue on behalf of the organization through EG’s elite teams and content creators as well as a team that services EG partners to drive maximum value from their partnership. In over two years that Millman has been at the helm of EG’s partnership team, EG has made history with first of its kind partnerships (Absolut Vodka - first spirits partnership, Elysian Brewery - first craft beer partnership, Bitcasino - first crypto casino partnership) as well as added or renewed elite partners such as HPE, Monster Energy Drink, LG Electronics, Coinbase, TUMI, Bud Light, Monkey Knife Fight, Point3 and Secretlab.
Prior to joining EG, Millman was in a similar position at Immortals Gaming Club (IGC), an esports organization in Los Angeles. Prior to IGC, Millman worked at Mindshare Spotlight, the sport and entertainment consultancy of Mindshare, a division of GroupM, the world’s largest media agency. In his time under the GroupM umbrella, Millman worked across Unilever, American Family Insurance, TJMaxx, BBVA and Citi to develop strategies, activate partnership and negotiated on behalf of his clients.
With previous experience domestically and internationally, Millman has worked with all major sports leagues and most teams. Prior to Mindshare Spotlight, Millman worked at the NBA selling and activating partnerships across the NBA and the NBA Development League. Preceding the NBA, at Five Star Sports, he supported MasterCard’s Commerce Development team driving activations with their top 50 retail partners as well as working with MasterCard Canada's sponsorship portfolio which include the naming rights to the Toronto Maple Leafs Practice Facility.
Born in Los Angeles, Millman graduated from The University of Michigan with an undergraduate degree in Sport Management and received his MBA from Columbia Business School in New York City. After nearly ten years in NYC, Millman returned home and now lives in Los Angeles with his wife (Stephanie) and daughters (Madison and Riley).
