Data Scientist, Callaway Golf
Charlie DeStefano is a Data Scientist for Callaway Golf who has worked on a variety of projects ranging from club design to club fitting however, his main role has been spearheading Callaway’s Tour Analytics program. Charlie joined Callaway in 2019, prior to which he earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Southern California, followed by both an M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas. During his graduate studies, Charlie gained valuable experience working at PARC (Palo Alto Research Center), followed by post-doctoral training in the Insight Data Science Fellows Program. In the fast-paced world of professional golf, Charlie’s work on Tour Analytics provides players, coaches, caddies, and performance reps with the tools they need to analyze player and equipment performance with ease and efficiency.
