Erik Korem

High Performance Coach, University of Kentucky Football team

About

Erik Korem (@ErikKorem) serves as the High Performance Coach for the University of Kentucky Football team. At UK Erik is responsible for the player development program which includes the physical, mental, technical, tactical and intellectual development of the football team. Prior to coming to Erik worked as a full-time Strength and Conditioning Coach for seven years, serving in various roles at both the Division II and FBS level, most recently the Director of Sports Science and Football Operations at Florida State. While at FSU Erik began tracking and managing the technical/tactical player loads using athlete tracking technology. Erik is now considered to be one of the leading authorities on athlete tracking for American Football. In addition to his work on the collegiate level, Erik has been a Track and Field Coach/Consultant for numerous International Champions in the sprint events. Erik is currently pursuing a PhD in Exercise Science. His research focuses on sleep and athletic performance, and Erik is expected to graduate in December of 2016.
