John is vice president of the Consumer Electronics (CE) division. As the head of this division, he oversees all aspects of the CE business including sales, marketing, product development, strategy, manufacturing, and supply chain around the globe. John has a passion for creating and delivering innovative products that make a difference in customers’ lives.

Before he joined Bose, John led the digital business strategy as senior vice president, chief product & marketing officer at General Electric (GE) Digital. He also held roles as senior vice president and founding chief digital officer of GE’s Current business unit focusing on Smart Cities and Buildings. Before that, John spent 16 years at IBM in a variety of business leadership roles including vice president of the original Watson Solutions business focused on artificial intelligence and cognitive computing, and global director of the Smarter Cities business leveraging technology to improve urban living.

John earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and computer applications from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He lives in the Boston area with his wife Christine and three children, Kayla, Jake, and Sydney. During the summer months, they spend much of their free time on Cape Cod at the beach and on the golf course. In the winter they enjoy skiing and winter sports as a family.
