Host, For The Long Run Podcast
Jonathan is a runner, cyclist, and podcast host from Boston, MA now living in Boulder, Colorado. Jonathan “became” a runner in 2013 after the Boston Marathon bombings and is fascinated by the pursuit of endurance and exploration of boundaries and limits while running long distances, or racing on the roads and trails. Jonathan started his podcast, For The Long Run, in January of 2019 and is now at 200+ episodes, with the goal of exploring the “Why” behind what keeps runners running long, strong, and motivated. He has spoken with Olympic gold medalists and over 100 professional athletes to understand what has allowed them to achieve success, however they define it, and what the community at large can learn from their experiences.
When he’s not running, riding, or podcasting, he works at InsideTracker as a Senior Sales and Endurance Category Lead, where he helps athletes at all levels understand how to use data to drive better decision making when it comes to health and performance. InsideTracker is a personalized performance system that analyzes data from your blood, DNA and lifestyle to help you optimize your health and wellness goals. He’s tried most of the trackers and wearables out there, and has dual perspective as an industry professional as well as an athlete himself.
Jonathan studied Sport Management and Marketing at the Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Jonathan has raced seven marathons with a personal best of 2:59, and has completed a 50k as well as Rim to Rim to Rim across the Grand Canyon (and back).
