President and CEO of USA Gymnastics
Li Li Leung became President and CEO of USA Gymnastics in March 2019. Since that time, she has led the organization through a cultural and business transformation that has opened a new chapter for the sport in the U.S. cultural mainstream and re-established USAG as a leader in the Olympic movement.
Under her stewardship, USA Gymnastics has pursued a culture that prioritizes athlete health and safety that has set the stage for the U.S. women returning to the Olympic gold-medal position in Paris and the men winning their first team medal in 16 years. USAG has expanded both its membership and its business base, signing multiple blue-chip partnerships since 2023, including Keurig Dr. Pepper, Comcast Xfinity, Samsonite, and the organization’s largest partnership in history, with Nike.
Leung recently served as vice chair of the NGB Council of the U.S. Olympic sport governing bodies and was re-elected to the Executive Committee of the International Gymnastics Federation in November 2024. She was named a SBJ “Power Player” in April 2020, was recognized on the 2023 A100 list, and was a 2024 SBJ Game Changer and a 2025 WISE Woman of the Year.
A former elite gymnast, Leung previously served as a Vice President at the National Basketball Association (NBA) and was managing director at the global sports management firm Helios Partners. After graduation from Michigan, Leung earned a master’s degree in sports management and MBA, both from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
