Senior Manager of Business Analytics, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment
Niyanth Anand is the Senior Manager of Business Analytics for Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE). His role spans across both the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils- two of the team properties that fall under the HBSE umbrella. By collaborating with each of the revenue generating departments on the business side of each team (Ticketing, Sponsorship, Marketing, Digital, PR, etc.), he is able to leverage data to optimize processes and provide objective recommendations that fuel the company’s important business decisions. Accordingly, he spearheads many initiatives from deriving the 76ers and Devils ticket pricing and inventory management strategy to revamping the teams’ digital content approach to developing a fan segmentation methodology that has been used to connect with fans more effectively.
Prior to joining HBSE in September 2019, Niyanth obtained his MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business. While at Duke, he managed a fan segmentation project for the Chicago Bulls and built a baseball analytics team for Duke Baseball. Additionally, he was selected to present at the Sloan Conference- both in 2018 and 2019, as part of the First Pitch Case Competition. Niyanth’s Sloan presentation in 2018 led to a Business Intelligence & Analytics internship with the Denver Broncos that summer. While in Denver, he created a Broncos Podcast Series (Broncos Boardroom Blitz) that highlighted the backgrounds and insights of business leaders through the organization. Prior to business school, he worked in Business Valuation Consulting for Deloitte and Corporate Strategy for a Social Media Marketing start-up. Niyanth was born and raised in the Bay Area and earned his BS Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
