Professional Runner, USATF and RRCA Coach
Roberta Groner, 45, is a runner from Ledgewood, NJ. She is a mother of three active teenage boys ages 15,16, and 17. She runs for Central Park Track Club. She is also the Roads Coach for CPTC. She is a life-long runner and had a notable career at St. Francis University, a division 1 program. She completed her RN and is now a nurse at Summit Health in NJ. She has been an RN for 21 years. After a hiatus of 10 years, she took up running again focusing on longer distances in 2011. Breakthrough year for running was 2017. Running has now led her to her passion in coaching. She became certified USATF and RRCA coach in 2021
Highlights of running career:
- 6th at World Championships in 2019 at age 41
- Placing 12th and 13th at the NYC Marathon in 2018 &2019
- Pending Age group American Record 2023 in 10 mile race with time of 55:13
