Shay Martineau

Shay Martineau is in his second season as the Director of Analytics at the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx. Shay oversees all advanced analytics initiatives for the business operations of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Lynx, Iowa Wolves, and T-Wolves Gaming. As a leader in the Business Intelligence department, Shay spearheads the organization’s data visualization strategy. He and his team have built a comprehensive repository of enterprise dashboards to inform critical business decisions and optimize revenue growth. Prior to his arrival at the Timberwolves and Lynx organization, Shay stood up and lead the first Responsible Sourcing and Sustainability Business Intelligence team at Target Corporation. He and his team were essential in mapping Target’s SASB Index data and constructing Target’s Corporate Responsibility (ESG) Report, as well as establishing a technical foundation for ‘Target Forward’, an industry leading sustainability initiative. His career began with Delta Air Lines, where he spent time supporting airport operations, premium sales, loyalty, and revenue management strategy. He supported Delta’s transition to Tableau and helped launch a first-of-its-kind speech analytics platform. Shay has a passion for predictive analytics, generative AI, and dynamic pricing models. In his free time, Shay enjoys traveling, playing golf, and above all else, spending time with his wife and newborn daughter.
