Director of Baseball Products - Sportvision Greg left an exciting graduate research position in the computer science department at the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB) working in the Research on Adaptive Compilation Environments (RACE) lab to work with Sportvision in 2006. Greg began a software engineering position with Sportvision where he played an integral role in the technological development of Sportvision's pitch and hit-ball tracking, known to the baseball analytics community as PITCHf/x and HITf/x. In 2009, Greg made a shift from technology development to Sportvision's business development team as the Director of Baseball Products. In this role he works with the business development team across all of Sportvision's functional areas to continue to market and manage PITCHf/x, HITf/x, and to further quantify the game of baseball with new products like FIELDf/x, which is a system that will track the players and the pitched, hit, and thrown ball as a baseball game is played.
