Long Snapper, New England Patriots Football Team
Lieutenant Joe Cardona is a Naval officer,eight-year veteran long snapper for the New England Patriots and two-time SuperBowl Champion. Joe was drafted in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL draft aftergraduating from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science inEconomics. He spent his rookie year inthe NFL on active duty working full time between Foxborough and the NavalStation Newport in Rhode Island. In 2016, Joe was designated to the U.S. NavalReserves. He currently serves as a Supply Department Head for Maritime SecuritySquadron 8, managing logistical requirements for over 650 sailors spread among15 geographical locations across much of the eastern United States.
Joe is actively involved in the Boston sportsand business communities. In Spring 2022, he participated in Harvard BusinessSchool’s Crossover Into Business, a semester-long program where professionalathletes develop their business acumen and prepare them opportunities duringand after their active sports career. Joe brings a unique perspective tobusiness and leadership based on his military and football championshipexperience, and is passionate about using his platform and resources toencourage social, educational, and gender equity within the communities he isapart of. A recipient of the New EnglandPatriots Ron Burton award, he was recognized for his charitable work in the NewEngland community. He is steadfast in his support for military families and hisfellow veterans.
