Vice President of Social Media, ESPN
Kaitee Daley is the Vice President of Social Media at ESPN. In this role, she leads a team of talented social media specialists and designers that power the most followed and engaged brand in sports media. In 2022, ESPN Social generated over 7.5 billion fan engagements, up 34% YOY. Daley’s responsibilities include strategic oversight of all social content published across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter, as well as the creation of rolling shows on Snapchat and the team of specialists that collaborate with ESPN talent on social optimization. More recently, Daley spearheaded the launch of ESPN Creator Network, a collaboration program with sports influencers, and SportsCenter Next, a social-first brand dedicated to highlighting sports stars of tomorrow and the excitement of youth sports. Daley has been entrenched in ESPN’s social media efforts for a decade, and played a key role in establishing a formalized strategy and distinct social media department. She pioneered SportsCenter’s early social efforts and on- air integrations, helped build up ESPN’s social business, and has helmed the launch of numerous social brands, shows, and internal programs all with an eye for increasing ESPN’s reach and relevance across emerging platforms. She is the recipient of several industry honors including Sports Business Journal’s 40 under 40 (2022), Folio Top Women in Media (2020) and Cynopsis Top Women in Sports (2019).
Daley began her career with ESPN in 2009 after graduating magna cum laude from Bowdoin College where she played basketball and softball. When she’s not scrolling SLACK and social feeds, Daley can be found spending time with her husband, daughter, and chocolate lab.
