Director of Business Analytics, Oakland Athletics
Mark joined the Athletics in the 2012 season and is entering his third season as the Director of Business Analytics. The Business Analytics team is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Salesforce/CRM platform, Tableau/BI platform, and the enterprise-wide datawarehouse. A key focus is ensuring all business data is being properly tracked, reporting, and understood throughout the company. Mark is actively engaged in dynamic pricing, revenue forecasting, data integrations, and planning for a new Oakland ballpark in 2023. In addition to his role with the Athletics, Mark is the founder and creator of the college basketball analytics site SevenOvertimes.com. Prior to joining the Athletics, Mark worked as a Senior Systems Analyst for RaceTrac Petroleum in Atlanta, Georgia. A native of Atlanta, Mark graduated from Vanderbilt University with degrees in mathematics and physics and currently resides in Oakland, California.
